There are two different undergraduate levels (cycles): first cycle and second cycle (master studies).
Every year the Faculty of Arts offers approximately 350 different courses at the undergraduate first cycle, in 6 departments. Three educational programmes which can lead to a Bachelor’s degree are also offered at this level.
Most of the courses offered at the Faculty of Arts at Göteborg University are normally in Swedish, and a good knowledge of the Swedish language is therefore a prerequisite for admission to these courses. On request, courses at the advanced level can in some cases be offered in English. Consult the department in question.
Courses in the humanities are also included in programmes which are offered in collaboration with other faculties.
Every year the Faculty of Arts offers approximately 200 different second-cycle courses at the advanced level, in 6 departments.
The advanced level features a number of second-cycle programmes which can lead to a Master´s degree (60 hec) or Master’s degree (120 hec).
On request, courses at the advanced level can in some cases be offered in English. Consult the department in question.

The last day for application for autumn semester 2012, was January 16, 2012.
