The Faculty of Arts
The work at the Faculty of the Arts has its focus on people and how they relate to their own lives, to other people, to the unfamiliar and to history.
The Faculty of the Arts comprises both language studies and historical-philosophical subjects. While we are still a classic Arts Faculty with subjects such as Latin and Greek, we are developing education and research within new scientific areas such as language technology and corpus linguistics. The underlying foundation of our courses is language and cultural forms of expression, the living conditions of humans, and history.
Our building, known as Humanisten, is situated by a beautiful park on the outskirts of the city centre close to The City Theatre, The Art Museum and The Concert Hall.
